A disruptive passenger on board a Jet2 flight from Manchester to Antalya has been named as Catherine Bush from Bradford.
Mother-of-one Bush, who “displayed a catalogue of aggressive, abusive and dangerous behaviour onboard the aircraft, which included physical aggression towards other customers and our crew,” has been handed a £5,000 fine for the diversion of the aircraft and banned from Jet2 for life.
The argument onboard Flight LS895 was said to have started after Bush became annoyed by the ‘sound of children crying and people looking at her funny.’ owever some passengers later commented that Bush was behaving poorly before she’d even boarded the flight in Manchester. Around two hours into its four-hour flight, the plane was forced to divert to Vienna.
Shocking video footage emerged of Bush’s atrocious outburst at Cabin Crew and fellow passengers. It later showed the passengers clapping and cheering as the passenger was marched off the plane by officers, but not before slapping another passenger as she departed.
According to “sources,” Bush was heading to Turkey to have 20 zirconium veneers fitted, costing £3,000.
Jet2’s Managing Director Phil Ward said: “Ms Bush displayed a continued pattern of appalling behaviour on the flight, and she must now face up to the consequences of her actions.”
He continued: “We have always made it abundantly clear that, as a family-friendly airline, we take a zero-tolerance approach to such behaviour and that we will vigorously pursue any costs incurred as a result of such an incident. Although such incidents are very rare, it is unacceptable that our customers and crew should have to experience it.”
