Croatia Airlines has unveiled a new wardrobe for its cabin and flight crew as part of a broader company-wide visual transformation that first became public with its updated branding and the launch of the Airbus A220 programme. The new cabin crew uniforms are central to the airline’s evolving visual identity, designed to reflect a modern national carrier while remaining grounded in practicality and heritage.
As we know, uniforms are never just uniforms. They are flying brand statements, cultural signifiers and, for crew themselves, working garments that must perform flawlessly at 35,000ft. Croatia Airlines’ new designs acknowledge this balance, blending visual impact with everyday wearability.

The airline said the look is intended to balance the cabin crew profession’s “heritage” image with a more contemporary, functional approach suited to modern aviation work. The carrier adds that the tailoring prioritises ease of movement and “professional dignity,” while also acting as a visual expression of the refreshed brand.
Indeed, according to the airline, the uniforms are intended to act as everyday ambassadors of Croatia Airlines’ values, identity and professionalism, a sentiment that feels particularly fitting as the carrier repositions itself for a new era.

Flexible Design
The new collection has been created by Croatian designer Martina Vrdoljak Ranilović, who approached the project with a clear focus on adaptability. Rather than a rigid, one-size-fits-all concept, the modular capsule uniforms function as a coordinated set of interchangeable pieces, allowing crew members to tailor their look while maintaining a unified appearance.
This approach reflects the diversity of cabin crew roles and working conditions, offering solutions that feel relevant to real operational demands rather than purely aesthetic goals. Visually, the uniforms are anchored by deep navy tones that align with the airline’s refreshed branding. It’s a deliberate choice; dark blue remains synonymous with professionalism and trust in aviation, providing a strong foundation for more expressive details.

Comfort has also played a key role in the redesign. Using natural fabrics improves breathability and wearability in the aircraft environment while also supporting durability and safety. These details may not be immediately visible to passengers, but they make a significant difference for crew over the course of a working day.
Subtle styling elements elevate the overall look, including red accents, updated knitwear, and structured outerwear. One of the more eye-catching additions is the introduction of caps for female crew, a feature that adds a hint of classic airline elegance without feeling outdated. Familiar signature elements have been retained, most notably the airline’s long-recognised scarf motif.
The result is a collection that feels refined without being restrictive, something that cabin crew will appreciate as much as brand observers.

A Visual Signal Of The Airline’s Next Chapter
The uniform launch forms part of a broader repositioning for Croatia Airlines and its “In Your Direction” campaign, which frames the company’s next phase around fleet modernisation and a refreshed visual identity, including a new logo and updated aircraft livery. The airline is introducing up to 15 new Airbus A220 aircraft, marking a significant investment in both efficiency and passenger experience.
Together, these changes create a more cohesive, contemporary image, ensuring that, from check-in to cabin, the brand feels consistent and forward-looking.
