An Air France passenger has been escorted off her flight by police officers after an altercation with the cabin crew who refused to give her water “three minutes before the plane landed.”
The passenger in question, who goes by the name of @celrants on TikTok (the fact that the word ‘rants’ is in her profile name may explain a lot), shared the video on the social media platform using several hashtags, including #racism and #womenofcolour.
In her account, the passenger claims that she asked for a glass of water shortly before landing but was refused because the aircraft was so close to the ground. This then led to a full-blown argument with the cabin crew, which quickly escalated to the point where the authorities met her.
In one of the videos the passenger can be heard swearing at the crew, calling the situation “an absolute fucking joke.” She then goes on to say that the crew had asked her to delete the videos from her phone, and as she would not comply, they had called the police. The crew then attempts to explain Air France’s rules regarding photographing and filming its staff members. The passenger then states that she is a regular flyer, although she admits this is her first time flying with Air France.

The passenger, still without any water, then attempts to talk to one of the female crew members but is told she is not allowed to do so.
In one of the videos, a crew member can be heard explaining that after the captain’s landing announcement, there would not be time to provide a glass of water. The passenger claims her request was made three minutes before the aircraft touched down, which suggests that the crew may have been preparing to take their jump seats and assume their landing positions.
In the video, she is then heard telling the crew: “I understand that you cannot move. I’ve been flying since I was a baby. The least you could have told me is, ‘mam, you can’t get water now, when you land, I will give it to you’. That’s it.” The crew then asks why she took a picture of them, to which she replies, “In all honesty, I didn’t intend to. I am thirsty. All I wanted was a drink of water.”
She is eventually led off the aircraft by three police officers, but not before questioning why the police might ask her for her passport.

I’ll defend the crew here. Once crew are cussed or sworn at then it’s all over-rover. You have all flight long to get ‘a glass of water’ and at 3 minutes before landing the crew should be seated and not pandering to a princess demanding a glass of water……end of story
