‘You’re Going To Make Me Cry’: Emirates Crew Member Left Emotional By Passenger’s LEGO Gift

An Emirates cabin crew member was left fighting back tears after a passenger surprised her with a handmade LEGO creation during a flight – in a heartwarming moment that has since gone viral online.

Cabin crew are usually the ones handing out things to make a passenger’s journey special. But on one recent Emirates flight, the roles were reversed when a passenger presented a crew member with an unexpected handmade gift.

Passenger Alyna Jude captured the touching encounter on video and shared it on Instagram.

During the flight, Jude is seen sitting in her seat, putting together a LEGO creation. An Emirates cabin crew member notices and takes an interest, apparently encouraging her to keep building.

But rather than keeping the finished piece for herself, the passenger decided to give it to the crew member.

And it’s fair to say she wasn’t expecting it.

Clearly taken aback by the gesture, the Emirates crew member looks at the gift before telling the passenger: “You’re going to make me cry.”

She then asks whether she can give Jude a hug before warmly thanking her for the present.

The simple interaction has since won plenty of praise online, with social media users describing the exchange as “wholesome” and celebrating the passenger for recognising the person behind the uniform.

One viewer even joked that Emirates should reward the passenger with a Business Class upgrade on her next trip.

For cabin crew, whose working days can involve everything from long hours and disrupted sleep to demanding passengers and unexpected situations at 35,000ft, small gestures of appreciation can often mean far more than passengers realise.

And while chocolates are always gratefully received, this passenger certainly went one step further.

The exact flight and route on which the encounter took place have not been confirmed in the reports surrounding the viral video.

But wherever they were heading, the exchange reminded everyone that some of the most memorable moments onboard have nothing to do with the destination.

Sometimes, all it takes is a few LEGO bricks – and a very thoughtful passenger.
