An American Airlines flight attendant was assaulted by a passenger who then had to be restrained in flex-cuffs and duct taped to her seat. The passenger in question, Ketty Dilone, had threatened to kill several crew members on board her flight from Charlotte to Las Vegas.
The incident occurred about halfway through the flight on September 16. Dilone left her seat and began walking up and down the aisle and yelling, while filming on her phone. When she was asked to stop recording, she became angry and started verbally threatening the flight attendants, who then notified the flight crew.
As the crew forcefully restrained her, she was heard shouting, “I will kill you bitch,” whilst making aggressive postures towards the staff. Once the flex cuffs had been attached, the crew placed duct tape around her torso to stop her from sliding down in her seat.

Here, Dilone kicked one of the crew members twice in the calf and lower leg before using both her legs to kick them in the knees, causing them to fall in the aisle. Additional duct tape was then applied to the passenger’s legs to prevent further injury to the crew or fellow passengers.
In the footage shared on TikTok, Dilone is heard yelling that the cuffs were hurting her. She then went on to say, “You don’t know what the fuck I been through, bitch!” She then recounts a tale from her childhood when she attempted to kill her father by putting roach poison in his coffee.
The flight attendants were forced to move other passengers away from where she had been restrained and then stand and monitor her for the remainder of the flight. An official statement stated that this prevented them from performing their safety-related duties during descent.
Upon landing at Las Vegas Harry Reid International Airport, Dilone was met by authorities who detained her. She was then handed over to the FBI, which has jurisdiction over crimes committed on board US-registered aircraft. She has since been hit with federal charges of interference with a flight crew and assault by striking, beating, or wounding, and could face up to 20 years in prison.
